In the past, I’ve always tried to be really flexible with my vegetarian requirements while abroad. When you’re at the mercy of hosts or living the street food life, you can’t have it all. But once I move to a place, and really start living there, I get to be a little more strict. And when I’m craving a local dish that isn’t vegan, I get to experiment!
This shit makes my heart hurt.
I shall neither be the first, nor the last, person from the northern hemisphere to get unreasonably excited about the fresh fruit in tropical areas. I shall do my best not to become obnoxious about it... but I must indulge in at least one obligatory avocado photo.

I got the keys to my new place yesterday, but the kitchen isn’t ready yet. However, after one full month of eating street food or being at the mercy of my friends, I scraped together this makeshift setup and finally made something for myself! It was nothing fancy, but it was mine 😍
