To limit the amount of boring dry information embedded into my other posts, here is where any travellers can find my insights into transportation, accomodation, and where and what (or not) to eat. Please use the links at the side (PC) or find the menu in the drop down tab (mobile) to navigate by country or topic (for visas and SIM cards).
As a rule, I take hostels whenever possible, and while the price (as cheap as I can find) usually dictates where I stay, occassionally the cleanliness or location can trump the cost, and I’ll pay a bit more for more comfort (bearing in mind that comfort is definitely a relative term!)
As well, I typically go for the cheapest food, too. That means most of my meals are eaten at roadsides, the places often don’t have names, and usually, your best bet is found near transport hubs.
